What we do...
- Equity Financing
A common type of financing in which a portion of a company is exchanged for capital. Typically, anywhere between 25% and 75% of the business may be relinquished in return for funding. The advantage of this type of funding is that large amounts of capital can be raised fairly quickly, however, the downside is that you may be giving up future profits or even lose controlling interest in your business.
- Debt Financing
With debt financing, money is borrowed from lenders that must be paid back with interest. The lenders do not have any controlling interest in your business, but they expect a fixed return on their investment. These lenders sometimes come in the form of institutional sources, such as banks; however, institutional investors tend to shy away from higher risk investments like startup businesses. This is where private investors and venture capitalists come in. They are willing to take on additional risk that traditional sources will not. Normally, these lenders can be difficult if not impossible to find on your own. Artisan will locate investors that are willing to lend to your business.
- Mezzanine Financing
-
Mezzanine financing is used to fill a void that can exist in a company's capital structure between equity and senior secured debt. It is generally structured as subordinated debt with warrants or some other equity feature. Mezzanine financing has been used extensively by private middle market companies and has been particularly useful in financing for buyouts, recapitalizations, acquisitions and growth where there is a capital need beyond what the senior secured lender is willing to provide and more than the equity provider can afford or is willing to invest.
-
- Bridge Loans

This is a type of loan that allows to borrow funds for short period of time to fund day to day operations to allow your business to function while waiting to secure a long term loan or other source of funds.
